Who Are We?
Echidnas is a small, non-profit organization for middle and high school students with Asperger’s Syndrome, dedicated to developing social and life skills to promote independence and productivity into adulthood. Our group includes both students and parents who meet concurrently in Richardson Texas.
Many of our teens have been diagnosed with other challenges as well, but this group’s main focus is the Asperger’s Syndrome aspect of their diagnosis. Members live all over the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex from Plano to Farmersville to Cedar Hill. Meetings are open to any family with AS. Students are instructed by licensed speech pathologists in social skills. In addition to our formal meetings social outings are scheduled on a monthly basis for real application use of social skills.
